Following a presentation by the HTA (Ian Brooks and John Rodell) to the AIRSO Road Safety Advisory Panel on the issues of escorting in the UK, AIRSO has agreed to form a sub-group in order to look further into the issues raised by the HTA:-

• An Accredited Training Programme for Escorts
• Better Education for the Public
• The need to clarify with ACPO the position about directing other traffic on the road
• Possible changes in lighting regulations

AIRSO (Association of Industrial Road safety Officers) are an influential road safety group with excellent reputation and credibility with Government and its agencies. 

AIRSO organise & run the annual Blue Light Users Conference - bringing together all organisations concerned in any way with the emergency services.
